Raquel Elias, Code Compliance Supervisor, Community Risk & Reduction Division of the San Diego City Fire-Rescue Department, will present on preventing our neighborhoods from disastrous fires and risk management from wild fires, considering our environment where many of us live on canyons and many of us live very close to our neighbors.  She will also provide guidance on what plants to keep and the plants we should not as we evaluate our risk management.

Fire Department Code Compliance Supervisor directs staff in enforcing fire, life safety and municipal codes, conducting high-level inspections and reviewing plans.  They manage daily enforcement operations, investigate violations, ensure compliance and prepare cases for legal action, while coordinating with other city department and providing public education.
