Our members enjoy donating our profits to benefit and beautify the community. The Mission Hills Garden Club works to fund garden related endeavors that benefit the entire community.
Profits from the annual Garden Walk and other events are used to fund garden related endeavors that benefit the entire community. We invite and encourage community groups, not-for-profit organizations and associations, and community members to identify opportunities to enhance our community for the mutual benefit of residents, the business community and visitors.
WE ARE LOOKING FOR NEW POTENTIAL BEAUTIFICATION PROJECTS!
Projects must be located within the greater Mission Hills community, bounded by Albatross to the east, San Diego Avenue to the west, Hotel Circle to the north, and Laurel Street to the south.
Proposed projects should demonstrate how they will be:
- Sustained without further Garden Club funding
- Beneficial to community members, businesses, and/or visitors
- Aligned with the setting in which located
- Utilizing water-wise principles
Applications will be accepted by October 30, January 30, and April 30 for funding based on the availability of funds from the prior May’s Garden Walk.
College Student Scholarships
The Mission Hills Garden Club provides scholarships each year to college students based on demonstrated academic achievement, financial need and an express interest in pursuing a degree in horticulture, floral design, or florist operation. Application deadlines are set by individual colleges.During 2019 scholarships were awarded to:

- Amanda Orr, Cuyamaca College
- Suzanne Dantas, Mira Costa College
